WHAT MAKES THIS SITE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER LDW SITES?
PERSPECTIVE. Commercial sites typically won’t show specific aspects of their technology which would open them up to liability or expose intellectual property. Similarly, manufacturers will probably not show specific lane departure warning projection levels for likely longitudinal lane boundaries emanating from lane markers in the field of view. Because these safety level circumstances might be analyzed on a case by case basis during ‘accident reconstruction’, they could go towards determining who (if anyone) was responsible for an accident and who damages might be assessed to. DEMONSTRATION. Theoretical and practical aspects of automotive advanced safety systems are included in several website manuscripts. Lane Departure Warning Systems have undergone various degrees of instantiation in recent decades but all find their inherent value in increasing vehicle safety. These automotive safety systems must be grounded in theory, originate from a safety system architecture, go through various levels of prototyping, be subjected to static and dynamic testing for function and performance, and they must adhere to existing safety standards, all of which I believe have been touched on in this site.

The manufacturers of these systems typically provide very little detail as to their low-level underlying implementations. I have attempted to provide a different type of insight which is not restricted by a team of corporate IP attorneys and which is presented in a fairly neutral manner which provokes contemplation rather than reaction. They might be looking for some historical perspective as to how or why the technology may have evolved as it did.
